I arrived at Barilzar’s Tower. Not very tower like to my mind. I expected it to be taller really. Still nice carving on the door.
Barilzar was a bit busy when I went in and wasn’t very happy to be disturbed but I was on important business and when I mentioned divine energy he seemed more interested.
He started talking about Lord Sotha Sil and how he’d worked with him. I would have asked him more but he then started on about colour and time and something, something, which I didn’t understand at all. Not wanting to appear stupid I just nodded my head and said the occasional “mm-mm” and “ah”. I think it kinda back-fired on me though because he then asked me to fix his colour-light machine in the middle of the room.
“yeah sure, no problem,” I said. Never one to be put off trying something, I walked around the machine as if I was in deep thought and decided to just pick a colour and give it a twiddle to see what it would do. Thankfully I picked the right colour and a beam of light emitted from the crystals to the centre of the machine. It must have been right because I didn’t get blown up, which is always a plus in my book.
I decided to just go with what I know and then picked the colours in order of the ones I liked. I didn’t tell Barilzar that though as it didn’t sound very clever and he might not help me with Lord Vivec’s problem.
Although he was pleased with my help, he didn’t really have the answer to why Lord Vivec is losing his power but at least he gave me his notes because there is no way I was going to remember everything he said. Especially as I think my brain went to sleep two minutes after he started talking.
Back to Vivec City I go. Hope I find somewhere to eat on the way all this brain work has made me hungry
