On my way to Ald’ruhn to find Seryn and I run into Drelyth Hleran, a Dunmer needing a bit of help. He says his family used to live in the area and he’s doing some family research to find his family’s tomb. Apparently, diplomacy is not his strong point and the local Ashlanders are not happy with him at the moment.
Personally, I can’t understand how you can lose a tomb but then I’m not a Dunmer.
He directed me to the Ashlander’s camp suggesting I speak to their Farseer. At first, I thought the Ashlander’s were all playing a giant game of hide and seek as she had a cloth over her eyes. Glad I didn’t ask to join in because it turns out the cloth over her eyes is nothing to do with hide and seek… whatsoever… at all… so don’t ask.
Any-hoo offering to pay my respects to the Ashlander’s is a bit more involved than I thought. There are four tribes here and a gift is required for each to prove I am sincere, which Drelyth failed to mention!
Poeberry never says no to a challenge, so off I go to retrieve the appropriate offerings to present to the tribes and bring them back. I gathered the items for offering, which were obviously good enough as their wise woman, Asani, met with me and was pleased. Or rather she called me “a hero worthy of praise”.
I let Drelyth know what I found out about his ancestral tomb and the restless spirits within. I get the impression Drelyth is a bit lazy as he says “would you be so kind, old chap, as to go and investigate for me as you’re such a wonderful person” (or words to that effect).
I’m not surprised he didn’t want to go as it’s positioned not far from a lava flow. Why is everything near a lava flow here? It’s soooo hot. I find the tomb and enter (think I will have to buy some new boots after this) the tomb. There certainly are some restless spirits in here but I guess I would be too so close to all that lava!
Head restless spirit is called Dranoth Hleran. I think he’s mildly disappointed in his descendants not bothering to come to visit him for so long. Another request of paying respects is made, which is simple enough and doesn’t require me travelling around Vvardenfell collecting stuff.
The spirits were finally appeased and Dranoth gave me Calderas, his spear to pass on to his descendant. Drelyth got quite excited when I presented him with the spear and the Ashlander’s seem in a better mood with him…now off to find Seryn and a new pair of boots.
